SPARK works with research partners all over the world. Our goal is to help them find people who want to participate in their studies. These studies may involve anything from an online questionnaire about autism services to a study in a clinic about autism and anxiety.
All studies are evaluated for scientific merit, and a scientific committee at SPARK approves them. However, these studies are not endorsed or performed by SPARK. We use the information that participants have provided to identify research opportunities that may be appropriate for them. SPARK connects participants with research projects where they match the study’s criteria and are eligible for it. Some of these studies are online, and some are in person.
Participants in SPARK are always in control. It will be up to them to decide whether or not a study is right for them. If they decide to not join one study, that will not prevent them from joining others. SPARK does not share any information with researchers until participants approve of the exchange of information.
Together, we can speed up autism research!
