Who is Craig Newschaffer?

Craig Newschaffer, Ph.D. is a professor in the department of epidemiology and biostatistics as well as the dean for research at Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health in Philadelphia. Newschaffer is also the founding director of the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute. The Institute is the first autism research center to focus on public health science, including programs in modifiable autism risk factors, early detection and intervention, and life-course outcomes. Over his career, Newschaffer has been the lead investigator on many federally funded autism studies, including a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Autism Center of Excellence (ACE) study focused on prenatal autism risk factors.
